Dragon Con 2011 ran from September 2, 2011 to September 5, 2011 in Atlanta. This edition added the Westin Peachtree Plaza and reached about 46,000 attendees, showing how quickly Dragon Con was scaling from a regional fan gathering into a major downtown pop-culture convention.
This was part of Dragon Con's major expansion decade, when additional hotels and heavier attendance turned the convention into one of the country's most visible multi-genre fan events.
