Gary Con XVIII took place March 19–22, 2026, at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, continuing its tradition as both a memorial to Gary Gygax and a celebration of early tabletop roleplaying culture. Rooted in the origins of Dungeons & Dragons, the convention emphasizes old-school play, classic systems, and the shared history of the hobby.

In recent years, the convention has expanded beyond the main resort to make use of additional venues across the Grand Geneva campus. In 2026, that expansion reached a new milestone with the first use of the Moose Mountain water park at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark.
