BGG.CON is BoardGameGeek's flagship in-person convention, built around open gaming, scheduled events, publishers, and the wider BoardGameGeek community. It began in the mid-2000s in the Dallas area and became one of the signature U.S. gatherings for hobby board gamers, with the Golden Geek Awards closely associated with the show.

Over time the convention outgrew its early hotel footprint, moving to larger Dallas-area venues as attendance climbed. Its focus has remained distinct from trade shows: long play sessions, a huge library culture, and a community-first environment anchored by the BGG site.
