ChupacabraCon is a central Texas convention that foregrounds tabletop RPGs while still making room for board gaming and adjacent tabletop play. The series has built its identity around roleplaying culture first, which gives it a different shape from Texas conventions that lean harder into expo floors or miniatures.

Its current materials describe it as a premiere RPG and board game convention for the region, with the Embassy Suites in San Marcos serving as a familiar hotel-con base. That smaller-footprint, RPG-forward model is the core of the show.
