Gen Con East
Gen Con East was one of Gen Con's early regional offshoots, created in the early 1980s to bring a version of the main convention's tabletop mix to the eastern United States. The series was brief, but it reflects a moment when Gen Con's organizers were testing multi-region expansion instead of keeping everything concentrated in one annual Midwestern show.
That makes Gen Con East historically interesting even if it never became a permanent pillar of the brand. It belongs to the same experimental branch as other short-lived regional Gen Con events.
