PAX East

PAX East is the Boston edition of PAX, the Penny Arcade-founded convention series devoted to gaming and gaming culture. It is heavily video-game facing, but it also includes tabletop demos, panels, tournaments, and a large expo structure that puts it in conversation with tabletop convention calendars.

Compared with tabletop-only shows, PAX East is broader and louder, with a much stronger digital-game presence. That hybrid identity is exactly why it continues to overlap with tabletop communities without being defined by them.
