PAX South
PAX South was the San Antonio edition of PAX, extending the PAX model of gaming-and-gaming-culture conventions into Texas. Like the rest of the brand, it mixed a giant expo hall, panels, community events, and tabletop areas instead of acting as a tabletop-exclusive show.
The series was shorter-lived than PAX East or PAX West, but it reflected the same crossover ambition: one convention space where video games, tabletop games, and fan culture could sit side by side. That hybrid role is the key to understanding it.
